MetalBase is a mobile scrap metal collection and removal service for Brisbane, Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast, Logan, Ipswich and Redlands. Our truck drivers visit customer sites; customers cannot visit a MetalBase yard.
Current grade, collection timing, arranged receiving instructions and commercial terms are confirmed for each enquiry.

Four points to settle before a trade
Use them as a checklist for a one-off load or a longer commercial arrangement.
- Agree the grade before handover
- A useful quote names the assumed grade, the condition of the material and anything that could change the final assessment. Ask for those points before the load moves.
- Price the load in front of you
- Scrap rates move with the market and the recovered yield. The quote should state the grade it applies to instead of presenting one number as universal.
- Keep the transaction traceable
- Before accepting a trade, confirm which identification, ownership records, weights and settlement details will appear on the docket.
- Confirm settlement before unloading
- Payment method, timing and any limits should be agreed before the material is committed, particularly for a large or ongoing load.

Requirements vary by site and load. Confirm access, hazards, responsibilities, PPE and the collection method before work starts.

- Follow the customer site's induction, traffic and PPE requirements
- Declare tanks, batteries, fluids and other regulated material in advance
